The road pier is a hollow thin-walled pier: the concrete construction of the pier body can be carried out using sliding formwork or flipping formwork. During construction, attention should be paid to cleaning and chiseling the joint surface between new and old concrete. In order to make the color of the entire bridge consistent, it is advisable to use the same type of cement. Attention should be paid to installing the pre embedded components of the main beam zero block bracket during pier construction. When pouring the main pier body, a hollow pier column with a height of at least 2 meters should be poured, that is, the height of the main pier section should reach at least 4.5 meters to reduce concrete shrinkage cracks caused by sudden stiffness changes. The allowable deviation for the verticality of the pier body shall not exceed 1/1000, and the deviation between the center position of each section of the pier body and the design position shall not exceed 2 centimeters. The surface of the pier body needs to be installed with cold-rolled ribbed steel welded mesh, and the extension between the mesh pieces should be done by plugging, with a length of not less than 20 centimeters. The difference in concrete pouring age between the pier body and the bearing platform shall not exceed 20 days. The pier body is not equipped with ladders and ventilation holes. The construction unit can set them as needed, but cannot cut off the original structural steel bars.

Before pouring concrete for the construction of road piers, attention should be paid to the installation of the following embedded parts: analysis of the reasons for the installation of rough surfaces

(1) The surface of the formwork used during construction is not smooth, debris is not cleaned thoroughly, the release agent is not evenly applied, and there are omissions.

(2) Component deformation and uneven joints.

(3) The vibration is not solid enough.

Preventive measures

(1) The debris on the template should be cleaned up and polished smooth. Apply release agent evenly to the formwork before pouring concrete.

(2) Seal the formwork tightly and handle any leakage during pouring at any time;

(3) The vibration should be fully compacted.

Analysis of the reasons for missing edges and corners

(1) The steel formwork is not coated with release agent or coated unevenly;

(2) Poor curing of concrete after pouring;

(3) The demoulding is done too early and the components are impacted by external forces after demoulding, or the demoulding method is incorrect.

Preventive measures

(1) Before pouring concrete, the formwork should be evenly coated with isolation agent;

(2) Do a good job in curing concrete;

(3) Dismantle the mold according to the prescribed time and do a good job in protecting the finished product, and master the correct dismantling method.
